Nathaly Muñoz is a resilient entrepreneur, veteran, mother of three, and proud refugee from Colombia whose journey inspires her commitment to serving and empowering her community. With a strong entrepreneurial background and multicultural perspective, she advocates for inclusive support systems and meaningful opportunities for others. Fluent in Spanish and English, with knowledge of French and American Sign Language, Nathaly works to break barriers and uplift underserved families, creating pathways to opportunity for those starting over, just as she once did

Tatiana Ibáñez
Tatiana is originally from Bogotá, Colombia and serves as a board secretary of Latinos Association of PEI (LAPEI), where she helps with coordination and initiatives that celebrate Latino culture across the island.
She also volunteers with Islamic Relief PEI as Marketing Lead and works as Information Services Coordinator at IRSA PEI. She enjoys digital storytelling and content creation, using communication as a way to share stories and connect communities.

Joel Wonnacott
With over 10 years of professional legal experience, Joel is a dedicated community leader who has served on several non-profits boards. A frequent volunteer, he is committed to supporting local organizations through his background in governance and a passion for service.

Angelica Monje
Angelica is from Bogotá, Colombia, and is a proud board member of the Latinos Association of PEI (LAPEI). She really enjoys supporting initiatives and events that celebrate and share the Latino culture across the Island.
She has been living in PEI for just over four years, working as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE). Her family and her are loving all the opportunities and the beautiful landscapes the Island has to offer.

Angie Cortes
From Bogotá, Colombia, Angie has been living in Canada since 2021. She is a systems engineer, works in the automotive industry, and is the mom of a baby boy.
Today, she is part of the staff of the Latino association, which brings her great joy because it allows her to connect, support, and grow alongside her community. She loves sharing real experiences about migration, work, and family, and learning from every story.
She is very happy to be here.

Benjamin Velasco
Benjamin has proudly called Prince Edward Island home since 2007, where he has remained deeply engaged in the community through education and active participation in local events. Currently a licensed realtor, Benjamin is passionate about supporting newcomers—especially within the Latin community—as they navigate new opportunities and build their lives. He is also involved in the travel and tourism industry, further strengthening his connection to the region. Outside of his professional roles, Benjamin enjoys staying active at the gym, playing soccer, and traveling.
